Torque baby
The goal of this lab is to derive the equation for torque and see the relationship for where a force is applied on an object.
We have concluded that the formula for balancing torque should be rfsin=rfsin. The r is the length of the radius and f is the force. Basically all the forces must be in equilibrium for the stick to be balanced and this formula shows that
In order for a system to be balanced, there must be equilibrium, just as when dealing with momentum or conservation of energy. In this equation, the total force exerted on one side of the lever must be equal to the force exerted on the other side.
